The CARE Collection >
At our events and with our partnership with CARE, we connect and support women expressing their creativity and using their skills to make their lives, their families' lives, their communities and our world a better place.
This Holiday Season, we have put together a beautiful collection of artistry that helps illustrate CARE's signature programs - Access Africa, Mothers Matter and the Power Within. We are donating 10% of sales of this special collection to CARE.
Why do we support CARE?
Women are at the heart of CARE's programs.
They work for long term solutions.
They have the highest, 4 star rating from Charity Navigator.

Working together to empower women to bring lasting change to their communities.
Original Women is committed to making the world a more beautiful place. By supporting CARE, we encourage women to express their creativity and use their skills to make their lives, their families' lives, their communities and our world a better place. Empowering women is a powerful, transformative and effective idea.
CARE is a 65 year old humanitarian organization fighting global poverty in 72 countries and reaches over 59 million people. Like Original Women, women are at the heart of CARE's mission. In CARE's six decades of experience, they have seen how women's well-being is the fuel that drives vibrant, healthy societies. Today, CARE is leveraging that knowledge to help families and communities chart a new course out of poverty.
Our partnership with Care is ongoing. Since starting in 2007 at the Humanitarian Awards Gala honoring Melinda Gates and continuing in 2008, 2009 and 2010 at the More Magazine Reinvention Convention, More and Self Marathon and Original Women Holiday Celebrations, and in 2010 as a partner with CARE at the AJLI conference, The Women's Conference in Long Beach California, the Massachusetts Conference for Women and other events organized by professional women's organizations, Original Women has raised awareness of CARE's activities, inspired participation and generated significant donations.
We invite you to join us and engage with CARE on an ongoing basis:
In 2011, we will again be helping to create an international marketplace at the CARE Conference & International Women's Day Celebration, March 8-10 in Washington D.C. Join us there. This is an amazing experience to talk directly with our lawmakers! Thanks, to CARE, we feel empowered and are making a difference.

We are based in New York City, and if you are too, here are two suggestions:
The Women's Initiative of New York City:
This is a group of women who, each year, commit to raise support for Care's work to empower women, advocate for CARE and travel to visit projects to see first hand the impact of CARE's work. For example, the Women's Initiative's efforts helped bring innovative microfinance and financial services to remote villages in Mozambique and clean water to villages in Peru. To learn more, contact the CARE New York office: 212.686.3110
Young Professionals for CARE:
A group of dynamic and diverse young professionals in their 20's and 30's and their friends of all ages, who share a passion for CARE's commitment to building a world of hope, tolerance and social justice. The YP group provides a forum for young professionals to take action and connect with people who share the belief that we can play an important role in ending global poverty. To learn more, please visit the Young Professionals for Care facebook page Email: yp.ny.care@gmail.com
